Risk and Compliance Associate Partner - Financial Services

As a Risk and Compliance Associate Partner (AP), you will be responsible for client relationship management, sales and overall successful delivery of risk & compliance engagements to IBM's banking and capital market clients. The AP will develop relationships within the client organization and build effective cross-functional teams across diverse stakeholder groups including client business and technical organizations, IBM's domestic and global delivery organizations, and third party software vendors.

The AP's subject matter expertise and experience in
Risk and Compliance must cover one or more of the following risk domains: financial risk (e.g., credit / market risk, CCAR, stress testing), operational risk, and/or financial crimes; and enable risk transformations by evolving operating models, enhancing/re-engineering risk processes, driving automation and developing innovative solutions (e.g., analytics, cognitive) to improve the effectiveness and efficiencies of risk and compliance functions.

The successful candidate will have experience in the identification of client needs as it relates to areas identified above, a strategic visualization of the solution that considers the synergies / overlaps between risk and finance, delivering complex solutions, and proven success navigating the complex environment associated with working within the largest financial institutions in the world. They will have client relationship skills, demonstrated effective team building, performed successful negotiations, developed winning proposals and have a track record of consistently exceeding aggressive goals.

  • At least 8 years experience in Capital Markets and/or Retail/Commercial Banking
  • At least 8 years experience in one of the following risk domains: financial risk, operational risk and/or financial crimes
  • At least 5 years experience in Data Modeling, Financial Modeling, and/or Data Analytics
  • At least 8 years experience in working for a management consulting company or a leading bank
  • At least 5 years experience in managing high-level client relationships in financial services industry
  • At least 5 years experience in negotiating and/or selling consulting projects
